Intuit your dog’s cues and if it’s resistant, change directions. Work site perimeters may be live so try to elude them. If necessary, switch sides of the street or your hands when leading to skirt hazards. If you traverse the same route, you may memorize locations of potential dangers. Carry your pooch when in doubt. I am so sorry about your son Rusk. It was good of you to keep Eli in the family. I bet Eli is sad. We may not understand the behaviors of animals but I know If Eli and Rusk were close Eli is heartbroken as well. Eli is lucky. There are so many dogs in the world that are abused for no reason!

I didn't realize Michael Vick had children. I hope they carefully looked into how he treats his kids when he was brought up on the animal cruelty charges. Just that he thinks comments like "I'd love to have a dog again..." are okay is a scary indication of how not grounded in reality he truly is. I hope those kids are safe, and I hope no judge ever grants him the ability to abuse another animal. He cannot be trusted.

Poor dog. I hope Goodlett finds her. It can be devastating when domesticated animals are let out into the wild where they have no idea what to do. I'd once heard a story about some people taking a box of many domesticated rabbits and letting them go because they didn't know what to do with them (don't know why they had so many in the first place, but if it's due to breeding … well, it's called get your animal fixed!). When they let them go, a few of them huddled up in the box unsure and scared, and they were rescued by onlookers. The rest had run away in fear and were never seen again. I don't know if Goodlett ever got her precious Copper back, but my prayers go out for her and the dog.

Very interesting. I knew dogs, cats and other animals could sense things in their owners like cancer, or an oncoming seizure, but this is the first time I've ever heard of anything like this. Animals are really amazing, with really amazing abilities and senses, that's for sure!

Such sad news indeed... I also lost a dog few months ago and it is such a painful experience. I believe we have a magical connection that made us best friends and I must say I enjoyed every moment with her. My father bought me a new pet a rabbit and even build me a rabbit hutch but honestly my father have no idea how much I forced myself to accept the gift.
